Careful Sourcing

As buyers are becoming more aware of how their crystals are being mined and how this affects the society and ecology involed, I would like to define what careful sourcing means to me. Another term for careful sourcing is ethical or conscious sourcing. A huge part of what makes the vetting and buying process so lenghty and difficult is ensuring that I am only purchasing product that is fair trade and does not involve child labor. I go through great lenghts and many uncomfortable conversations with wholesalers to ensure that they have either been physically to the mines they work with or that the wholesalers work in the locality to which the product is being mined. I work with some wholesalers in the US and some oversees but I will not purchase from "big box" wholesalers therefore you may notice that my products differ from others. I prefer to work with individuals and families to ensure my standards are upheld. If my standards align with yours, than I am so happy we have found each other! If not, I understand and I urge you to do your own research before purchasing from anyone, even myself! I want to make it clear that I do not label my products as ethically sourced unless I am physcially pulling the rocks from the earth myself keeping in mind the ecological effects this can also have on the particular area it is mined from.
